Title II (Disability Insurance Benefits or DIB):  The Old Age, Survivor and Disability Insurance program provides benefits based on
retirement, disability, and blindness (Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI)) to those who have worked and paid into the Social
Security insurance system and to certain dependents/survivors.

Title XVI (Supplemental Security Income or SSI):  The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program is an economic needs-based
benefit available to low-income individuals who are 65 or older or who meet the disability or blindness standard.
